We are supporting one of Canada’s fastest growing performance marketing agencies on a search for a Director or VP of Operations!What you’ll do:
Oversee operations and processes between internal teams to ensure smooth communication and collaboration
Ensure KPIs within their various internal systems are being met
Work closely with the department heads and other stakeholders to build SOPs
Work closely with the sales team to improve the handover process to marketing teams
Build training materials for various teams (internal & external) to ensure team members are proficient in using systems and processes
Streamlining workflows, systems, and tools to improve overall efficiency. This includes identifying bottlenecks, creating better processes, and implementing practices for project management and communication
Oversee, maintain and improve platform usage including Notion, Asana, Google Drive, Slack, and Hubspot
Work with the leadership team on building out the operations and project management department
Ensure that resources are effectively allocated across projects
Work with HR and leadership to oversee hiring, training, and professional development of team members to ensure the agency’s talent pool remains strong and capable
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a Senior Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or equivalent
Experience working with a marketing or advertising agency, with a deep understanding of the typical workflows, timelines, and intricacies of the daily operations of marketing teams
Deep understand and hands-on experience with Slack, Notion, Google Drive and Asana
Bonus if you have familiarity with media buying tools
Successfully led end-to-end platform migrations or integrations, from identifying needs to evaluating solutions
Proven ability to manage relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure delivery of key services
Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams and departments when required, including project managers, account managers, creative staff, media buyers, and support teams
Strong background in resource allocation, staffing and workflow management to ensure projects have the right people and tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose operational inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
Experience leading change initiatives, such as implementing new tools, restructuring teams, or shifting workflows to increase efficiency
