Join a community that cares about you!More about the teamThe Disrepair Team are an integral part of the Assets and Investment function. This is an exciting time to be joining a developing area of the business.More about your roleReporting to the Disrepair Manager, you will work in collaboration with colleagues across the wider group to defend disrepair claims and counter any potential claims against the group.As well as being responsible for monitoring, managing and co-ordinating Housing Condition/ Disrepair claims within affordable housing, you will review and consider inspection reports with a view to assessing liability and quantum at an early stage of the claim to reduce the financial impact of disrepair within the business.Working closely with the solicitors within the organisation, you will develop casework, instruct legal support and ensure that all documentation is sent to solicitors within the agreed time frame. Drafting and issuing documentation (such as witness statements) and attending regular meetings with the Manager is also required.We do offer remote/ flexible working but ask that you are able to be on site at our Preston office once day a week.For more information, please download our job profile available on our website.More about youThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record of performing a similar role within Housing Condition/ Disrepair.
