There’s a seat at our table for you…The successful candidate should reside in the Peterborough area.Position SummaryAct as the primary liaison between food service customers and Gordon Food Service, handling order management, delivery coordination, and relationship development in an assigned territory. Focus on expanding existing customer relationships and securing new business by promoting Gordon Food Service products and value-added solutions.**The successful candidate should reside in the Peterborough area.What We Offer:This is a commissioned role.Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and EAP Benefits after 30 days of employmentComprehensive customizable benefits program to suit you and your family needs including dental, vision, prescription drugs and extended health coverageCompany matched retirement programProfit sharingTraining and career advancement opportunitiesGordon Food Service product discountsEmployee appreciation eventsFamily cultureKey ResponsibilitiesOrder & Delivery Management: Manage orders from placement to delivery, addressing any issues along the way.Customer Acquisition & Growth: Pursue new customer opportunities, strengthen current relationships, and identify growth prospects.Consultative Sales: Serve as a food service advisor, providing system design guidance and GFS value-added solutions.Customer Education: Educate customers on product options, pricing, and availability, including providing samples.Account Management: Leverage CRM tools to manage customer data, oversee receivables, and conduct business reviews.Route & Performance Management: Achieve KPIs for route growth, apply negotiation strategies, and manage all aspects of the sales cycle.Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, culinary networks, and customer-focused areas such as sales, profitability, and compliance.QualificationsMinimum of three years in sales or business roles, ideally with exposure to food service or preparation; or equivalent education, training, and experience.Strong customer focus with effective verbal communication skills.Strategic, innovative, and inquisitive, with high integrity.Goal-oriented, organized, adaptable, and open to coaching.Proven ability to meet sales targets, manage time and territory effectively, and adapt to program changes.We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for the next stage will be contacted.
