Location – Portal Mill, Melksham

Job summary

• C&E licence
• Minimum 42- hour week
• Working any 5 days out of 7
• Some nights away required
• Some weekend work required
• Variable start/finish times depending upon business requirements

Specific responsibilities

To deliver Herman Miller products to end customers as required.

Company requirements

Health & Safety; ensure that safe working practices are followed. Attend safety briefings, as requested. Take responsibility for your own and your co-workers safety in accordance with The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulation 1999

Compliance; ensure compliance with business systems, processes, certification schemes, regulations and legislation relevant to the scope of your role. Support internal quality controls and audits to demonstrate compliance.

Job holder requirements

C+E licence (artic)

Digital tachograph card

Driver qualification card (CPC)

No more than 6 points on licence for minor offences

Working knowledge of drivers’ hours and the working time directive

Drawbar experience preferred but not essential.

Good geographical knowledge

Calm under pressure
