The successful candidates will have a strong background in operating heavy vehicles, specifically dump trucks, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This role involves transporting materials to and from various construction sites.Responsibilities:
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, and other construction materials.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the dump truck.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Ensure loads are secure and properly distributed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members.
- Typical working hours is from 8:00am – 4:00 pm
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dump Truck Driver.
- NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) certification.
- CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) certification.
- Valid UK driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and delivery instructions.
- Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Benefits:
- Weekly Pay (in arrears)
- £18 per hour including holiday
