Our MPE Calagry office is currently seeking a Electrical Technologist with 3 years experience in Industrial /Municipal electrical and controls to join the team.The successful candidate will play a key role in design and project management within the team.About MPE:MPE a division of Englobe is a professional engineering consulting firm that operates out of offices across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and British Columbia. Your ContributionAs the successful Electrical technologist candidate, you will work in collaboration with the Electrical teamYour main responsibilities will be:

  • Electrical System Design including but not limited to:
  • Power distribution and emergency backup (up to 750V).
  • Lighting.
  • Fire Alarm.
  • Security, door access and controls.
  • Communications and networking.
  • Automation and Control.
  • Providing technical assistance on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Application of applicable codes including the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Construction inspections to ensure design compliance.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies and utility companies and contractors.
  • Maintaining knowledge and understanding of safety policies and procedures.
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience would be an asset.
  • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules

Your Profile

  • A two-year Diploma from a recognized college or technical school.
  • Experience in the following:
  • Industrial Controls Design, Installation and Programming.
  • Commercial & Industrial Electrical Design.
  • PLC and SCADA control systems, automation, programming, network design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of the following HMI control packages is preferred: Rockwell FactoryTalk, Ignition and VT SCADA.
  • Knowledge of Siemens, Schneider and Rockwell PLCs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety
