Purpose of the roleUnder the supervision of the Director, E-commerce and Digital Strategy, the incumbent is responsible for developing, planning, executing, and ensuring the performance of La Vie en Rose’s daily email marketing operations. They conceptualize email marketing strategies and successfully implement any changes and projects to maximize engagement, customer retention, and optimize sales potential through email channels.Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and plan strategic email marketing plans and ensure their execution;
  • Work closely with the content and creative strategy teams to manage and guide the design of newsletters and other marketing initiatives;
  • Ensure La Vie en Rose’s brand image is respected across newsletters;
  • Plan all daily activities for campaigns, launches, promotions, and email marketing events;
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to customize, optimize, and improve the email marketing platform;
  • Measure the performance of the email channel by considering all performance indicators, identifying opportunities, and proposing ideas or solutions to achieve established sales objectives;
  • Implement and analyze A/B testing to assess campaign effectiveness, optimize performance, and adjust strategies based on results;
  • Act as a resource person for email marketing strategies and performance analysis;
  • Oversee the planning of the newsletter calendar;
  • Work closely with the CRM team to capture and leverage customer data, optimize segmentation, personalize newsletter campaigns, and strengthen customer loyalty and engagement;
  • Work closely with the acquisition team to target, attract new customers, and optimize newsletter campaigns to improve conversion and retention;
  • Design and maximize customer journeys by integrating automated marketing strategies to provide a personalized experience;
  • Ensure email deliverability by monitoring IP reputation, refining sending practices, and implementing solutions to maximize receipt and avoid spam filters;
  • Ensure compliance of newsletter campaigns with current laws and regulations;
  • Explore and integrate new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve personalization, automation, and performance analysis;
  • Participate in identifying business opportunities, making efficient use of resources, and proposing innovative solutions;
  • Optimize and maximize email marketing tools and processes;
  • Conduct regular competitive and technological reviews by monitoring market trends;
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence to best practices in email marketing;
  • Hire, train, coach, motivate, and mobilize the email marketing team;
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and mid-year follow-ups;
  • Delegate projects and activities to the team in a way that maximizes efficiency and performance;
  • Perform required administrative tasks, such as filing expenses and approving hours and vacation requests;
  • Ensure good communication and cooperation with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, management, or equivalent;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a management position in email marketing;
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (a plus) or other email marketing platforms;
  • Expertise in email marketing best practices;
  • Experience in the retail and/or fashion industry (a plus);
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics or other performance analysis tools;
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS (a plus);
  • Knowledge of digital media;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Bilingual, both oral and written – French and English (The candidate will be participating in campaign strategies for both Canada and the USA).
