Our client is a well-managed and very highly regarded City of London firm with a strong reputation for advising a client list comprising well-known brands. The firm was started by Partners from much larger firms determined to take their clients to a platform where they could continue to provide them with high quality legal advice in a more bespoke environment.During the pandemic the firm grew, hiring Partners and Associates who were attracted by the firm’s strong values, stable of well-known clients and the firm’s dynamic and collegial environment: cross-department sector groups lead to a close-knit, motivated and collaborative organisational culture.Due to growing client demand, the firm now offers an exciting opportunity for a mid-senior level employment lawyer to be part of an expanding practice. The firm has a great reputation within the Employment law space, and this opportunity would be a very positive career step for the right person.In order to be considered, you will be an Employment Associate probably with at least 4 years’ PQE, who can demonstrate high quality experience of:

  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on employee contracts, employee handbooks and other employee related documentation;
  • Advising on dismissals, disciplinary processes, grievances and other employee relations issues;
  • Working as part of a team on tribunal and High Court litigation; and
  • Advising on TUPE and other employee related matters associated with business restructures, and M&A activity.

The successful candidate will probably have gained experience from a recognized Employment team in a City, West End, high quality regional, or international firm. Many of the firm’s Partners and Associates have joined from far larger international law firms, drawn by high quality work and clients, and a far more friendly and personal working style.If you’re successful, you’ll be encouraged to take on a high level of responsibility in terms of the day-to-day management of your case load (always with excellent partner supervision where appropriate). You’ll be client facing on a daily basis, and also involved in business development activities with a view to developing client relationships. £100000 – 145000 per year
