Our technologies include Ruby on Rails, Go, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Aerospike, Redis, Elasticsearch, Amazon Redshift, and others.Watch our talk at Amazon Tech Talks:StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in North America for this position.About the team: The AI Copilot team is focused on building a copilot platform experience where users can optimize their digital advertising campaigns by blending an LLM chat-based copilot with the precision and control of traditional UI elements. Our approach ensures users can navigate complex setups by expressing their intentions, such as targeting specific audiences or setting campaign budgets, with the copilot automatically configuring the UI and offering clear, actionable suggestions based on campaign insights.The team is also improving our internal copilot that currently answers hundreds of questions from StackAdapters on a daily basis. Our vision is to advance our internal copilot’s capabilities to be a subject matter expert that StackAdapters can consult with to better plan & execute their campaigns in verticals they’re unfamiliar with.What You’ll be doing

  • Leading a team to build a chat copilot framework that enables the copilot to orchestrate UI workflows on the platform and provide intelligent recommendations
  • Working closely with our PM to understand internal stakeholder pain points and build internal copilot capabilities to help users make data-driven decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers across the organization to identify and solve technical challenges related to expanding our copilot’s capabilities in different platform domains
  • Focused on metrics and execution to ensure the highest performance from your engineering team
  • Championing our development methodology and leading scrum ceremonies
  • Promote software development best-practices and conduct rigorous code reviews
  • Review technical designs, conduct code reviews and write code as needed
  • Helping team members troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Build hiring plans and conduct interviews to identify potential high performing candidates
  • Balance and prioritize projects to maximize efficiency and ensure company objectives are achieved

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 8 years experience of software development in web technologies and architecting scalable systems in a successful high-growth technology company
  • Proven track record of having shipped multiple products
  • At least 2 years of people management experience with at least 4 direct reports
  • Knowledge of our full-stack technologies is highly preferred – React, Typescript, GraphQL
  • A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (we have not forgotten our basics!) – data structures, system design, cloud computing, full-stack development etc.
  • Passion to build a positive and fun engineering culture
  • Experience leading a team to conceptualize, design, and iterate on new user experiences with a keen eye for user-centered design & usability
  • Experience building fullstack conversational UX such as chatbots including underlying backend technologies that powers them such as LLMs & RAG
  • Experience in the AdTech industry is a plus
