SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for the development, configuration, implementation, and on-going support of the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other supporting IT systems for Penn State Health systems. This role involves working closely with clinical, operational, financial services, and administrative staff to optimize the use of the Epic system, ensuring it meets the needs of the healthcare organization and supports the delivery of high-quality patient care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or ten (10) years equivalent total related experience in lieu of degree.

• Six (6) years related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Experience supporting core technical functions essential to EMR operations, including domain management, software development lifecycle and change management.

• Proficient in understanding the architecture of Epic environments and working collaboratively with IT technical teams and the Epic remote hosting vendor.

• Epic certification preferred. If not certified, must complete Epic certification as assigned in related application within 6 weeks after last training class.
