At Roanoke College, we are seeking a Cavern Manager. Cavern Manager will manage operations to ensure that trained and cooperative staff serve meals that are well prepared, under proper sanitary conditions, in an efficient and timely manner.. Hours of operations may vary based on operational need and Roanoke College academic calendar. This position is required to be available nights and weekends, and holidays.Key Responsibilities:

• Serves as a representative of Roanoke College, displaying courtesy, tact and respect in all interactions with our students, members of the RC community and with the general public.
• Apply and enforce proper methods of safety and sanitation as instructed by the VDH and Dining Service Management.
• Maintains high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout.
• Responsible for enforcing all safety and sanitation regulations among employees.
• Ensures open and clear communication between staff and students.
• Follow and enforce policy and procedures as established by Dining Service Management.
• Enforce regulations as set forth by ABC.
• Ensure that every menu item is prepared from high quality products and is served according to standard in an efficient manner.
• Responsible for procurement of all food and supplies and maintenance of proper inventory.
• Ensures that accurate accounting records are maintained and that all required reports are submitted.
• Assists in hiring, training and performance management of staff and student workers
• Performs other duties as required.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• High-volume foodservice experience
• Supervisory experience
• Financial management experience
• Small team leadership experience
• Full availability
