The Opportunity

CBC News is looking for an exceptional editorial leader to be at the helm of our national Health, Climate, Science, Business, Entertainment and Education content unit teams and drive our editorial news coverage. If you’re an experienced journalist and an inclusive leader with ideas about setting a news agenda and developing staff, this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities include driving editorial coverage in our content unit subject matter areas – you encourage teams to respond to breaking and trending stories, to develop enterprise and impact content and to coordinate coverage of major stories and events. You have strong knowledge of the subject matter and can edit/vet sensitive or priority stories as needed.
