A well-established family-owned business in West Seattle that specializes in custom window treatments is looking for a
Fabricator
to join their team! As a
Fabricator
, you’ll be working in the shop taking custom order tickets and cutting and assembling things to size for installers – you’ll be putting together everything from tracks for drapes to hang on, to installing motorized kits to draw up blinds at the push of a button. This company prides themselves on building custom solutions to meet even the most unique needs. You’ll be successful in this role if you’re someone who can think outside the box and use outside resources to create solutions.

Fabricator
Responsibilities:

• Receive work orders from other departments and cut and assemble parts to size.
• Keep well-stocked inventory of supplies and order additional supplies as needed.
• Meet deadlines for installation needs.
• Think outside the box to create complex solutions for unique windows and homes.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.

Fabricator
Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in a fabrication or similar role (carpentry, maintenance, repairs, entry-level engineering)
• Comfortable working independently and with a team
• Strong critical thinking skills, ability to use outside resources to find solutions
• Comfortable learning new systems quickly
• Able to repeatedly lift 50lbs, bend, twist, and handle long, thin materials
• Experience and comfortability working with table saws, wire cutters, and other power tools

Pay:

• $24-$27 per hour

Location:

• West Seattle (somewhat transit accessible, free parking available)
