This is a full-time hire position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.Shep (now the FCM Extension) was an award-winning startup, founded in Austin, Texas in 2017 that was acquired by Flight Centre Travel Group in 2021. The team is now part of the broader FCM Digital team which has employees across the US, Canada, the UK, Spain, Greece, and South Africa. See our video to discover who we are, or read more about us atAbout The OpportunityAs a Product Manager for our browser extension team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering a unique product to our multinational clients. You will work with a talented and agile development team based in North America, while working closely with other departments including design, strategy, and the AI innovation team across the globe. This role is crucial to our commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions in the travel industry.Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Develop and own the product strategy for our browser extension, aligning it with the company’s overall goals and objectives, while nurturing the startup culture within your team.
  • Backlog Management: Work with the development team to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the needs and priorities of our clients and the market.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Stay up to date with this rapidly changing new technology and how it’s being used in the market, and work with the company’s AI Centre of Excellence to ideate, refine, and test functionality with respect to the Extension.
  • Process Optimization: Own development planning tools like ProductBoard and Shortcut to plan epics, write and organize stories, keep statuses updated, and develop and document processes. Feature Shaping: You will ideate and investigate until there is enough context to define what we want to build clearly.
  • Quality Assurance: Define acceptance criteria (expected behavior, requirements) for new features and changes to the Extension, and take responsibility for signing off on successful completion/implementation ahead of their public release.
  • Feedback Management: Receive and organize client feedback and troubleshooting issues and work with development team to verify and prioritize next steps
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, design, strategy, product marketing, and AI innovation teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery, while preserving the unique culture of your team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate product plans and updates to leadership and key stakeholders. You will work with Operations, Product Marketing and Product Delivery to ensure a successful go-to market for new developments.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation within the browser extension product, staying ahead of industry trends and technologies, while maintaining the entrepreneurial spirit of your team.
  • Research and Learning: You will research the trends in both digital experiences and the travel industry

Experience & Qualifications

  • You will strive to understand “why” we are doing something before understanding “what” we are doing.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with international teams across multiple timezones to address the unique needs of our multinational clients.
  • You will engage with customers and stakeholders to learn about their challenges and aspirations.
  • You will continuously learn about technology, the travel industry and user experience.
  • You will base decisions on data and analytics.
  • You will test theories and learn from the outcomes.
  • 5+ years of success and growth in Product Management delivering SaaS products.
  • Proven track record of making data-driven decisions and testing theories before committing.
  • Strong background in user-centred design and user research.
  • Experience in engaging with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in product management, including leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of browser extension development and the travel industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile startup-like environment, embracing the company’s values of irreverence, egalitarianism, ownership, and the “find a way” attitude.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of successful product launches and achieving business objectives.
