Check out www.agilent.com!To support the current business growth, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic person to help develop application support capabilities.Within the Customer Service Organisation (CSO, you will be part of a professional team of Field Service Application Engineers across Europe, who are responsible for implementing solutions for the full portfolio of Agilent ICP products, addressing the customer’s analytical needs.The role will be pivotal to Agilent moving forward as a solution based provider, and as the role develops you will move into high added value activities, with a goal to spend 100% of the time on Application and Consultation delivery that integrates Agilent products and services (at the system/solutions level) into customer’s environment realising the full potential of the system to drive their capabilities and improve their outcomes.During periods where you are unable to deliver 100% application and consultancy activities, you would support the field teams with installations, repairs, PM’s, and mentoring.New implementations

  • Carry out end to end application-based consulting during customer on-boarding process
  • Providing extended training beyond familiarization which includes method transfer, method maintenance, development, and optimization
  • Working closely with our instrument Sales team, Pre- Sales Application Engineers and Product Specialist to understand the customer expectations, along with any pre-sales development that is to be transitioned to the customers instrumentation successfully

Ongoing support of installed systems

  • Either as part of a support agreement, ad hoc request, or customer satisfaction, you will support our ICP customers to ensure they increase their return on investment
  • Involved in instrument application problems and/or critical issues using your sophisticated product and application knowledge to ensure we achieve the desired outcomes
  • Supporting your CSO FSEs, onsite or remotely, and working with Channel assist, Application Engineers, Product Specialists, and Regional Specialists for improved speed to resolution, cost reduction and professionally tier handling of applications problems
  • Carry out application-based consulting to help our customers
  • Provide sophisticated training to customers as needed

Agilent Team

  • Some applications will become common so as part of this role you will spend time with FSE’s developing their applications/workflow capabilities through, mentoring on site, remote, and face to face workshops
  • Increase contact centre application troubleshooting skills

Qualifications

  • A university degree in sciences (e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or similar), or equivalent working experience
  • Proficient experience with Agilent ICP-MS and ICP-OES hardware and software, typically 5+ years
  • Up to date knowledge the latest, innovative, ICP/MS technology solutions with a deep understanding of workflow and applications
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Happy to regularly travel throughout the UK and Ireland (average 3 overnight stays per week), and occasionally across border
