Description & RequirementsMaximus is currently hiring for a Finance and Accounting Administrator II to support our Florida Healthy Kids team. This is a remote opportunity open to Florida residents. The Finance and Accounting Administrator II will maintain and update project files, ledger balances, and computer accounting systems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Responsible for maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and accounts payable or receivable functions.
– Assist with any unidentified payment issues regarding invoices.
– Prepare, process and deliver invoices and payments accordingly.
– Perform research into payment objections.
– Perform research into any returned mail and ensure that any correspondence is resent timely.
– Prepare and validates financial reports.
– Reconcile information contained on internal and external reports and bank statements.
– Responsible for compiling amounts owed by the company to vendors, suppliers, and other organizations.
– Gather purchase orders, charge slips, sales tickets etc, and prepares payments.
– Maintain all payment or other transaction records.
– Perform data entry and input for the lock box operation.
– Perform comparisons between data presented in various forms and input information into the accounting system.Minimum Requirements– High School Diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience.
– Strong ability to communicate more complex information.– Must be a current resident of Florida.
– Must have an advance knowledge of Microsoft excel.
