We have created this role so you can let us know you are interested in a conversation and we can see where your skills may suit what our businesses are looking for.Whilst we are looking for a broad spectrum of experience, our businesses will be looking for talent who can fit the below generic job specification;Job Overview:The Finance professional will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic recommendations to support business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and manage the company’s annual budget and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet the company’s operational and investment needs.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support strategic decision-making, including investment opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and suppliers, to maintain strong financial relationships.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organization, including currency, credit, and operational risks.
Qualifications:
- Education: A part/full qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance management role, preferably within an early-stage startup.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
