  • Effectively lead the AP function to support suppliers and minimise cost to the company, maintaining accurate supplier reconciliations and reducing

unallocated cash

  • Effectively lead the AR function to control overdue debt, reduce DSO, and monitor unallocated cash.
  • Support the AR function to escalate customer accounts
  • Oversee the implementation of a monthly credit control cycle in

NetSuite

  • Responsible for daily treasury duties, reviewing and approving supplier

payment runs and customer refundsAccounting, Audit and Tax

  • Ensure accurate accounting standards are applied, including revenue accounting, with a good understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Ensure routine accounting information is produced promptly and accurately including monthly management accounts,
  • Be the key contact with external auditors and lead the annual external audit close

– Ownership of annual statutory accounts preparation,
– Review and approval of monthly journals,
– Prepare group consolidated financial statements for review by the Senior Finance Team

  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Ensure the company and its subsidiaries meet their VAT and Tax

obligations, leading the Corporation Tax Return preparation process, liaising with the CT provider

  • Accurately prepare and oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations, control
  • To ensure financial controls and procedures within the company are robust, sustainable, maintained and continually developed to take account of changing requirements
  • Oversee the implementation of new systems and controls as and when required, identifying gaps and contribute to the evolving nature of the finance function
  • Support new software implementation (NetSuite)

Other

  • Effectively manage and motivate the finance team
  • Champion a supportive and high performing culture within the Finance Department
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and software implementation, must have experience of NetSuite
  • Fully ACCA/ACA qualified with good technical knowledge
  • Experience leading a team
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to liase with various levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage own workload, prioritising and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Experience working in a Top 10 accountancy practice
  • Experience in audit and preparing accounts
