We are looking for a Finance Manager to join the Amazon Fashion Finance team. Amazon Fashion’s business is a dynamic and a key strategic focus area for the company. We need bright, talented people to help us fulfill our mission of making Amazon the most-loved fashion destination for our customers. This role can be based in any of these EU locations: London, Paris, Milan, Madrid or Munich.

The Finance Manager will work closely with multiple Pan EU teams within our Retail Category organization to become their trusted finance partner. In this role, you will drive and/or support various financial analyses and monitor operational plans that fuel Amazon’s future growth. Expect to get involved in supporting strategic projects and help building plans for the future. You will be required to stay close to the commercial, technical, and operational trends in the business and connect the dots to drive the right decisions. The growth of the business and the increasing complexity make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition with corresponding exposure to senior management at Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner directly with Retail category teams on vendor performance, negotiations and maximizing top & bottom line for our business.

• Build financial models to drive business decisions and make judgement calls on challenges using your understanding of Amazon’s Fashion cost/profit structure.

• Generate insights from financial data, identify growth and cost saving opportunities, and communicate findings with the leadership team to drive business actions.

• Own the financial and operational plan and financial reporting, create scalable processes and monitor teams for accuracy.

• Manage ad hoc requests, financial deep dives and analyses to support senior leadership.

• Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Create, improve, scale, or simplify finance processes/tools across teams and organizations.

• Represent Fashion in broader category forums and collaborate with partner teams to design processes and tools that are fit for Fashion.

• Onboard, develop and mentor team members in areas of financial reporting for accuracy, create best practice materials and promote knowledge sharing.

• Partner with Fashion Retail leadership team on ad hoc projects with high visibility.

This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

  • Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
