Finance Manager, R&D PerformanceJob PurposeGSK is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager R&D Performance to support our Finance Director R&D Performance. This crucial role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior leadership and significantly influence decision making across GSK.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Reporting: Assist in the creation and delivery of comprehensive and insightful reports for the CEO, CFO, CSO, Investor Relations and other senior leaders. Provide regular updates through QPR, KAT, RDLT QPR, IR reporting, and Competitive benchmarking. Support the Finance Director in managing additional ad hoc requests, ensuring the Portfolio Finance team delivers exceptional support. Your work will directly inform and influence strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization, driving GSK’s R&D priorities and resource allocation. The materials you produce will support senior management in building a compelling GSK equity story, enhancing investor confidence and supporting our market positioning.Collaborative Teamwork: Foster a culture of teamwork within the Portfolio Finance team. Assist in optimizing processes to efficiently handle both standard and ad hoc requests, leveraging existing ways of working (WoW) and reporting systems. Help design and maintain critical databases to ensure seamless report delivery. Your collaborative efforts will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations, contributing to a more agile and responsive Portfolio Finance team.Innovative Workflows: Support the development and implementation of efficient workflows with our Research Units (RUs). Ensure quality outputs with minimal effort by creating seamless processes and engaging in continuous improvement. Your ability to assist in streamlining workflows will reduce operational bottlenecks, enabling faster and more accurate information, which is crucial for timely decision-making in a dynamic R&D environment.Strategic Roadmap: Assist in developing a comprehensive roadmap with an annual calendar of activities. Enhanced stakeholder management will ensure the smooth delivery of standard reports, maintaining alignment and focus.Governance and Tracking: Help implement robust systems for tracking pipeline catalysts, LRF updates, governance milestones, risks, opportunities, and scenario planning. Build trust by staying ahead of key milestones and inflections and being ready to react.Technology and Systems: Maximize efficiency and effectiveness through technology. Assist in automating and enhancing visibility of key datasets to support senior leadership decision-making. Support the automation of RDLT QPR and other critical reports.
