Looking for a role that combines number-crunching, organisation, and a bit of negotiation? We’re hiring a Finance & Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our dynamic accounts team! Pay: Competitive salary (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Monday – FridayWhat You’ll Be Doing:In this role, you’ll be key to keeping our financial processes running smoothly. Your tasks will include:
- Assisting in the production of management accounts for two subsidiaries.
- Suggesting and implementing system and process improvements.
- Helping manage and negotiate utilities contracts with suppliers and brokers.
- Analysing fuel card usage and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders and approving payments.
- Reconciling supplier statements and handling weekly payment runs.
- Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts on the purchase ledger.
- Supporting the wider accounts team with admin and financial duties.

- A confident communicator who can build strong relationships across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Highly organised and professional, with excellent attention to detail.
- A great multitasker who can prioritise workloads effectively.
Desirable skills (but not essential):
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume purchase ledger environment.
- AAT qualified or part-qualified.
