OverviewBuckinghamshire Council is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Finance Systems Support Officer to join our ICT Schools Team.   • Provide support for Financial Information Software and develop knowledge in other software areas to ensure a comprehensive service to customers.
  • Offer professional and knowledgeable telephone and remote support to LA Maintained and Academy schools.
  • Contribute proactively to the development, implementation, maintenance, and management of complex systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver training courses on various Financial Information Systems software to school customers, either face-to-face in a classroom setting or online.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team and with other services to deliver best practices.
  • Maintain an awareness of educational developments, including government and Local Authority initiatives.

About you

  • Experience in finance administration or management in schools, including the use of FMS.
  • Knowledge of Arbor Finance or Bromcom Finance is desirable, but full training will be provided.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to converse with technical and non-technical staff.
  • A flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn and develop skills.
