FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANTPlay a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our UK & Ireland financial reporting – including tax compliance – while contributing to exciting finance projects within a global leader in beauty.A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Prepare the UK Financial Statements in collaboration with various stakeholders across the business such as Human Resources and Sustainability Directors. Support external auditors through the audit of the statements.
  • Validating and challenging balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee that financial records are prepared in compliance with UK GAAP and local regulations (inc tax).
  • Support and interact closely with the Shared Service Centre, known as BEST, in Madrid to ensure end-to-end accounting services delivery.
  • Support the Internal Control Director in ensuring accounting processes are in compliance with Group Norms and Charters.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely UK & Ireland corporate tax computations.Stay abreast of evolving tax legislation and regulations in the UK & Ireland, proactively identifying and implementing necessary changes.
  • Collaborate closely with the tax team to ensure compliance with all tax requirements and support tax planning initiatives.
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Participate in local finance projects, contributing financial expertise to support key strategic initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Educated to at least a degree level and qualified – ACAACCA qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role, with a strong emphasis on UK & Ireland tax compliance.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and sound commercial acumen.
  • Proactive and able to work autonomously, taking initiative with courage to drive improvements.
  • Highly organized with excellent prioritization and communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence and inspire through clear presentations.
  • Confident in challenging processes and proposing and implementing improvements to systems and procedures.
  • Strong team player with a commitment to excellence and a dedication to continuous learning.
  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of UK & Ireland tax laws and regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding environment.
