About the roleThe Finance Team at Capco is responsible for preparing, analysing, and advising on the financial status of the firm. We focus on operational excellence by ensuring accuracy and compliance with global financial rules and regulations. From concept to contract completion, our team works directly along-side senior leadership and stakeholders to yield a high-performance business by mitigating risks and increasing profits.The Group Financial Control team is a global team, providing reporting and analysis to the Group Head of Finance, the CFO, and other senior stakeholders across the business including Wipro head office. The team is responsible for the month end process, reporting to Wipro, Group and SOX audits, alignment and advisory on the reporting standards, providing support to the global finance teams and treasury support.Reporting directly to the Global Financial Control Manager based in the London Head Office, Capco are looking for a highly organised and ambitious individual to take on the position of Financial Control Analyst in the Global Financial Control team. You will closely collaborate with colleagues both abroad and in the UK and working with stakeholders from all our global locations as well as our centralised Group functions such as Operations, Human Capital, IT.You have an opportunity to directly influence overall finance processes strategy and to drive constant improvement. You must be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and able to identify solutions to complex problems.Key responsibilities

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Report and work closely with the Group Financial Control Manager and other members of the team
  • Collate information and analytics for the month end journal process
  • Income Statement and Balance Sheet analytics
  • Analytical/support for reporting to external advisors for audits and SOX.
  • Understanding of the groups’ controls and procedures at a corporate level
  • Take ownership of the Group Financial Control’s administration including document management
  • Other ad-hoc duties when required

About the person

  • Degree educated, ideally in a relevant field e.g. Accounting, economics, mathematics
  • Preferred financial services/finance experience but not essential
  • Ambitious and highly organised individual
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to effectively deliver concise output and messaging with colleagues in multiple global locations
  • Able to operate in quickly changing environments whilst being well organized, pro-active and deadline driven.
  • Eager to learn and undertake responsibility for tasks and processes
  • Excellent Excel and system skills
