DESCRIPTIONAmazon is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, innovative, and customer-obsessed Fleet Performance Manager to join the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Fleet team and drive fleet performance, across customer impact, fleet uptime and fleet financial performance within our transportation network in Europe.Key job responsibilities
– Be the single threaded leader for fleet downtime performance, liaising across team and with vendors as appropriate to understand the bridge and drive improvement.
– Model asset downtime for OP/QxG planning
– Manage fleet financial performance, leading annual financial budgeting and quarterly financial updates for fleet in association with finance
– Understand drivers in financial performance and develop projects to solve identified problems
– Model asset level total cost of ownership
– Undertake continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with vision for fleetAbout the team
Amazon couldn’t deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you’ll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you’ll help Amazon’s transport run at maximum efficiency.
The Fleet team within ATS manages Amazon’s 10,500+ trailers and trucks used to get packages to their destination. Our aim is to make it the safest and most reliable fleet on the road, with this role contributing to maximizing fleet uptime through managing our maintenance vendors.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– A degree
– Experience in program or project management
– Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
– Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
– Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
– Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
– Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organizationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Master’s degree
– Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQLAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
