Small enough that your impact’s felt in the business, but big enough that your impact reaches millions of people.The role…We have a new opportunity for an experienced FP&A Analyst to join our growing, Manchester based team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, Centre of Excellence -, You will be responsible for delivering high quality reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis that provides timely and relevant information to Senior Management and Business Partners, in order to support decision making.Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure overheads are accurately reported, and variances to budget and forecast are captured and fully understood
  • Assist with developing budgets, forecasts and long term plans
  • Prepare and provide reports to deliver timely analysis and discuss performance with the business stakeholders and business partners
  • Gather and interpret cost data to analyse business performance, perform scenario analysis
  • High level of focus on data quality and accuracy, ensuring analysis provided to the business stakeholders and business partners is of the highest standard
  • Incorrect data should be fully understood and fed back to the appropriate teams, working together to improve data quality and accuracy
  • Capture risks and opportunities to improve EBITA for the business
  • Completion of ad-hoc data analysis requests
  • Update process flows, operating manuals, training guides, and standard operating procedures as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives; and measure and realise sustainable benefits

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA accountancy qualification or Qualified by experience
  • Previous experience in a financial analyst role
  • Experience of analysing and reporting financial and operational data, including the ability to gather, compile, and evaluate data from multiple sources to provide business insights
  • Strong Excel skills with ability to create and use advanced formulae, pivot tables and dashboards.

  • Ability to work at both a detailed and high level
  • Desire to gain a strong understanding of the business areas supported
  • Experience working in a large organisation and a team environment
  • Willingness and ability to build excellent relationships across the business and work collaboratively
  • High standard of computer literacy with Oracle experience preferable.
