What will this role achieve?

You will be accountable alongside the Senior UK&I Supply Chain FP&A Manager for the consolidation of the Supply Chain financial performance and submissions to Group and UK FP&A. This role will consist of owning the end-to-end finance performance consolidation across the UK’s 7 manufacturing sites, logistics, and central functions! This includes Financial Modelling, Reporting, Analysis & Insight, Control, Decision Support and Business association.

The role will report directly into the Senior UK&I Supply Chain FFP&A Manager and support the Supply Chain Financial Controller as well as 5 regional finance managers.

You will play a part in delivering clear and insightful data to the Supply Chain Finance Director and be a key member of the central team, working with the Senior UK&I Supply Chain FP&A Manager in supporting operational performance across the Supply Chain. Key partners include central cost centre managers, site finance teams, planning team and commercial colleagues.

The role will require occasional travel to the manufacturing sites and Chiswick Park to both drive financial awareness and support our journey to full standardisation. This role is pivotal for supporting the Senior UK&I Supply Chain FP&A Manager in driving critical focus across all areas of finance to our key business partners.

What will be your key deliverables?

People

  • Work closely with all the UK&I Supply Chain finance team to ensure clear communication channels
  • Lead for offshore team relationship, supporting training requirements
  • Support the UK&I Financial Controller in driving excellent clarity across all financial responsibilities
  • Build excellent working relationships with your key partners mentioned above

Financial Control

  • Drive adherence to the business financial controls, policies and procedures, including Internal and External Audit review recommendations
  • Challenge and drive factory financial performance

Supply Chain Reporting

  • Providing monthly performance insight, including site cost base analysis, cost base bridging and cost saving validation
  • Play a key part in the preparation of the annual budget and provide short term performance insight

Continues Improvement

  • Drive a continuous improvement and standardisation to improve financial controls and processes within Supply Chain finance

General

  • Point of contact for all relevant business, system and Supply Chain projects

Financial Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close process
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Navigate your key partners through the business goals and commitments to budget
  • Ensure clarity and visibility over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Management of Capex reporting and analysis to support Capex team when required
  • Ownership of internal and external audit relationships

What do you need for this role?

Essential

  • Qualified or studying towards CIMA, ACA or ACCA or equivalent experience
  • Able to demonstrate a proven communication and teamwork ability, with the gravitas to build solid, successful working relationships cross functionally
  • The desire to challenge the status quo
  • Standard Costing and variance analysis, Overhead (Cost Centre Management)
  • Track record of providing robust and insightful financial analysis, including planning and forecasting
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power point

Desirable

  • Knowledge of SAP processes or other relevant systems and ability to get up to speed quickly on relevant systems
  • Proven FMCG & costing experience is desirable
  • Food and drink experience are beneficial
