Oh, and done a TED talk all about carbon removal.About the role:They’re looking to grow their initial product squad from 2 to 4 engineers. • Developing, implementing, testing, and shipping customer facing product features.
  • Creating delightful user experiences.
  • Implementing, maintaining, and setting what “good looks like” for their front-end codebase.
  • Collaborating with the broader product & engineering team to build out and evolve their architecture.
  • Designing and building market experiments to help them to continue to learn, evolve, and pivot their offering.
  • Building a design system and using components libraries like Storybook.
  • Implementing functional DataViz components adapted to their visual style.

Product wise, you’ll work on solving multiple product problems and exciting front-end challenges – including:

  • First of kind data products and meaty visualisation challenges.

About their stack:Their tech stack is new and evolving!

  • Front-end: Typescript, React, Node and Next.js.
  • Back-end: Go, Typescript, Node, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • They also use Firebase for authentication, Github for version control, and Digital Ocean for infrastructure (with a planned future move to GCP).

RequirementsAbout you:Please treat the below as simply a starting point. If you don’t exactly meet all of the below points but think you’d be really impactful in their team, they’ll really want to hear from you.

  • You have a proven track record of successfully implementing projects and have a strong desire to learn and execute.
  • You are passionate about making an impact, interested in startups and climate change, and are both proactive and a team player.
  • You think that you might thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous, and changing environment

About the hiring processTheir process aims to give everyone the chance to get to know each other, understand my clients’ aspirations, and whether this is an exciting mutual fit. * It starts with a prescreening conversation with me (
) * Then an initial chat with my client who will tell you more about their business, what they’re looking for, and understand more about your goals.

  • Next is a skills focused interview (technical interview), which ideally then leads to:
  • An in person final stage, split over two parts: a non technical competency based interview and a 1:1 founder meeting.

BenefitsAbout the perks:

  • With a little bit of luck, you’ll be helping to save the planet (pretty good, isn’t it). But seriously. Every time my client transacts, the world gets a little better.
  • They’ll treat you with dignity; across competitive compensation, meaningful equity, generous time off, and a culture that’s inclusive for parents and respectful of boundaries (no 3am emails!).
