Furnace Operator

A global company that specializes in manufacturing airplane engine parts has a temp-to-hire Furnace Operator role available in their Foundry department.

This role involves operating and maintaining large furnaces to melt and produce alloys that meet precise specifications for manufacturing, such as aerospace components. It includes monitoring equipment, ensuring quality, documenting processes, and performing maintenance to keep the furnace systems running efficiently.

Furnace Operator Job Duties:

• Prepare equipment, metal, molds, and schedules before operating the furnace.
• Load and unload casting parts and transfer hot molds between furnaces.
• Melt and pour alloys into molds while following all procedures and work instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance and use computer systems to log calibrations and production data.

Pay: $26.50-$28/hr DOE

Schedule: Training will be on day or graveyard for about 3months. After training you will move into your work schedule which can be on Day, Swing, or Graveyard.

• Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm
• Swing Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm – 11pm
• Graveyard: Sunday-Thursday, 10:30pm – 6am

Furnace Operator Requirements:

• Able to lift 35 lbs
• Wear flame-resistant PPE: ear protection, safety goggles, coveralls, jackets, face shields, and steel-toed boots
• Able to solve basic math equations
• Proficient using computers
