Job Title: General Litigation Attorney with Emphasis in Family LawHiring for a rural law firm known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and client-focused legal services. Low cost of living and affordable housing.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced General Litigation Attorney with a strong emphasis in family law, some estates and wills, to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate should have at lest 1 (one) year of litigation experience and a demonstrated track record of success in handling complex cases, being able to pivot to all areas of litigation, with a specific focus on family law litigation.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a diverse caseload of general litigation matters with a primary focus on family law
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and strategy development to provide expert counsel to clients
  • Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, motions, and agreements related to litigation cases
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide legal expertise to support clients’ strategic objectives
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in case law related to mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. degree
  • Call to the Law Society of British Columbia.
  • At least 1 year of experience in general litigation, with a strong emphasis on family law
  • Desire to be a part of a community
  • Confidential responsibility
  • Proven success in handling complex litigation cases and a track record of achieving favorable outcomes
  • Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
