In the past year, Boat Rocker has sold content in over 150 countries worldwide across Free TV, Pay TV, Pan Regional Channels, OTT, and streaming platforms.For more information, please visit www.boatrocker.com.THE ROLEBoat Rocker Media is seeking an experienced individual to support a 12-month contract in our Global Rights division. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing global content sales of Boat Rocker’s scripted, unscripted/documentary, and kids & family catalogue. Specific territories of focus will be Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Ideally, the qualified candidate will be available for MIPCOM in October.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver the agreed financial targets in their territories for Boat Rocker Studios global rights group.
- Proactively explore and exploit new opportunities for growth, both with existing customers and smaller companies in developing markets.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of market conditions, partners and competitors, regularly assessing and prioritizing sales opportunities.
- Work closely with senior content acquisition / strategic partnership executives at key broadcasters to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Produce forecasts for the territory; generate and share an understanding of viewing trends by regularly researching and analyzing viewing habits and data to demonstrate what could influence content selection and purchasing in the relevant territories.
- Travel internationally when required, to Markets and Festivals and territories within remit on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct experience in the selling of scripted, documentary/unscripted, and kids & family content.
- Highly motivated and driven to exceed targets.
- Proven experience of managing global content sales across multiple territories.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the broadcasting environment including specific market knowledge regarding genres and territories.
- Flexibility as to regular business travel.
- Experience in acquiring distribution rights for catalogue is an asset.
