It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.About the roleThe Strategic Market Intelligence Director is a senior CBIA leadership position recognised as a subject matter expert within the CBIA organisation.
The role is responsible for driving and delivering strategic market insights across the organization. The successful candidate will be pivotal in providing technical expertise and thought leadership in market intelligence (total healthcare categories view), influencing the company’s strategic direction.As a key partner to the Enterprise Strategy team, the successful candidate will synthesise complex and varied market data sources and consumer behaviours trends to inform decision-making. This role also works cross-functionally with markets, business units, and global categories to support and influence key strategic decision.Key responsibilities

• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Enterprise Strategy team to deliver critical insights that shape business strategies and decisions. In collaboration with global strategy team, establish framework for tracking key performance metrics aligned with enterprise strategy, and providing reports that inform strategic decision-making at HET levels.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Proactively and reactively address high-priority requests, delivering timely, reliable and actionable insights. Example would be the coordination, compiling and checking of insights to support the narrative for Capital market day. The role has been a key member of the team preparing presentation for CEO, CFO and CMO.
• Innovation in SMI and Thought Leadership: Develop and implement new methodologies, and approach to enhance the organisation’s market intelligence capabilities leveraging new solutions. Work with external agencies partners when needed to source and integrate new strategic insights programs.
• Strategic Market Data sourcing: Responsible for the commissioning and supplier management of the strategic market insights data at enterprise level, ensuring quality of data for enterprise-wide usage as well as training/capabilities program and thought leadership sessions.
• Trends: Leading the development and reshaping our Haleon enterprise trend program, ensuring the organization is well-informed and responsive to future changes. This provides a long-term view of future consumers behaviours and how the organisation would need to prepare.
• Consumers 1st: Overall responsibility for the management of two key global agencies (Human8 and DiscussIO) ensuring Haleon is getting the best value of those partnerships.

Qualifications and skillsThe successful candidate will have significant experience in the following areas:

• Experience in strategic insights & analytics, or business intelligence role, in a global organisation, ideally within healthcare.
• Experience leading large scale strategic insights initiatives.
• Proficiency in data analysis, competitive intelligence, statistical modelling, and the application of new tools and approaches in market analysis is essential for delivering actionable insights.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for presenting complex insights clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.
• Extensive experience working within a fast-paced, matrixed organisation, partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to influence decision-makers, lead cross-functional teams, and navigate intricate relationships across diverse markets and geographies is required.
• Experience of working with continuous market data sources, including household panel, would be advantageous.
