Position Summary: As a Goods Receiver at St. Pancras, you will ensure that all deliveries whether food or non-food items are correctly received and stored in line with Health & Safety regulations & brand standard policies. Working closely with the Food Buyer you will be accepting goods and deliveries for all departments and distributing them appropriately. You will check the quality, prices, weights, and specification of all deliveries to make sure they meet our requirements whilst reporting all discrepancies to the Back of House Manager and the Executive Head Chef. You will be responsible for the organisation and cleanliness of your areas including walk in fridges, dry store and corridors.

Responsibilities: Here’s what your journey with us entails

  • Adhering to and assisting in the compliance of Health and Safety e.g., COSHH & Risk Assessments.

  • Ensuring that all Fire regulations are maintained by making sure that the Fire Exits are not blocked.

  • Being familiar with and practicing the safe handling, care and storage of all equipment.

  • Ensuring that all maintenance issues have been recorded correctly, and that all mechanical and manual equipment are used as instructed.

  • Reporting any machine defects to the maintenance team and ensuring that the correct action is taken.

  • Ensuring all goods received by the Loading Bay are of the correct quality, quantity, and description as per Purchase Order.

  • Ensuring all Delivery Notes are signed, and time stamped by receiver and delivery temperature recorded as appropriate, and copies are forwarded to the Chefs.

  • Recording any damaged goods received on Delivery Note and reporting to Head Chef.

  • Notifying, or delivering goods received to the various departments as appropriate.

  • Ensuring relevant procedures are carried out at all times in relation to Health & Safety, Hygiene, Security, Fire & Emergencies procedures and regulations.

  • Ensuring that the Loading Bay is kept clean, tidy and in hygienic conditions at all times.

  • Ensuring your team follow and comply with sanitation and cleaning procedures and pest control guidelines, reporting pest control issues to appropriate personnel.

  • Ensuring all associates on shift are using equipment and utensils in the correct manner and hygienically, following laid down hygiene measures.

  • Preparing all foods in accordance with HACCP procedures and monitoring the production and service of these foods daily.

  • Ensuring that all documentation relating to food safety, hygiene, sanitising, HACCP, temperature control, cleaning/disinfecting/sanitising is completed on shift and that any discrepancies are noted and flagged to the Executive Sous Chef.

  • Ensuring flawless compliance with local & national government and company food safety, health and hygiene procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.

  • Previous experience with Food and Beverage receiving/ordering.
