This established company produces software for a wide variety of public services organisations and government authorities throughout the UK.If you’re fascinated by software and data and you’re looking for a rewarding technical career with opportunities for fast progression, then this is the perfect role for you.You’ll work closely with the Software Development and Engineering teams, carrying out design and analytical work, playing a key part in software testing and implementing better user interface and interactional design.You will learn from experts in their field with additional support from a personal mentor. You have opportunities to progress quickly but at your own pace, to take early responsibility and to undertake qualifications that you think will help your career. The company has an Agile method of working so you will attend daily stand up meetings and allocate tasks as required between team members.This is a graduate-level role where you can progress into various areas of the business. Once you are comfortable with the software you will have the opportunity to become a Product Manager or to move into a senior role within the QA Team, depending on your interests and skills.Responsibilities:
- Software testing
- Designing and improving user interfaces
- Project work
- Working closely with the development, engineering and support teams to ensure the product is up to standard
- Second line support
- Client contact
- 2:1 (or equivalent) in computer science, maths, physics or related
- Excellent A-Levels or equivalent qualifications
- Eager to work as part of a team
- Experience of programming and a desire for a technical career
- Problem solving and analytical skills
