Grind Set Up Operator – Direct Hire, 1st ShiftLeader in the manufacturing industry of high-precision components is looking for a Grind Set Up Operator. This is a direct hire position located in Brattleboro, VT.Shift of the Grind Set Up Operator:
Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pmPay Rate of the Grind Set Up Operator:
$20-$25 – DOEResponsibilities of the Grind Set Up Operator:

• Set-up and operate manual and CNC Grind Machines in assigned area, performing duties with minimum supervision, (Shigs, Royals, Surface, Centerless, Double-Disk, Detrude, Thread-roll and others).
• Obtain prints, wheels, collets and fixtures as required.
• Change and replace wheels and diamonds as required to ensure parts are produced in accordance with tolerances and specifications as called out in the work instructions for a given job.
• Perform all aspects of wheel dressing and change as required and in accordance with work instructions and applicable SOPs.
• Assist in training other operators in the area.
• Diagnose and correct machining problems to ensure required tolerance is held throughout a production run.
• Inspect parts as produced to ensure compliance with requirements using micrometers, verniers, gages, fixtures or other measuring equipment.
• Responsible for accurate scans in Visual during all Setup and Run Time.
• Perform other duties as required, assigned or directed.

Requirements of the Grind Set Up Operator:

• High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years’ experience.
• Ability to use all required measurement and inspection equipment.
• Ability to make major adjustments/offsets including positional moves.
• Ability to change and re-sharpen tools as necessary.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble production tooling and machinery.
• Basic understanding of company-wide manufacturing processes.
