As part of the WMG Education Executive, the role will contribute to the WMG Education Strategy, directly supporting the Pro Dean and Associate Deans, and working alongside the Director of Education Professional Services, Head of Education Operation and Student Services to take a lead on managing its operationalisation and administration, including:

  • The Teaching-related academic Workload Model, Notification of Intent process, and course delivery principles.
  • Planning and management of Academic Resourcing, both longer term and year on year, including salaried staff, Graduate Teaching Associates, and a range of staff on variable and temporary contracts.
  • Providing and enabling a WMG Interface with key University Professional Services for special projects (such as Warwick online).
  • Provide academic administration leadership and project management for strategic and one-off education projects which will facilitate improvements in student experience and quality assurance processes.
  • Enable a cohesive and consistent approach to ensure integration and alignment of activities across the full-time, part-time and Skills Centre courses.

In order to fulfil the majority of these duties effectively, candidates need skills, knowledge and demonstrable experience in designing, developing and implementing IT based systems to support operations.About YouThis postholder will have significant experience in managing academic administrative processes in education. We are particularly seeking a highly motivated individual who will ensure that the infrastructure, policy frameworks and processes, and resourcing models that support the WMG Education portfolio are high quality, fit for purpose, and effective.Therefore, the postholder will have demonstrable knowledge and experience in quality assurance, policy, regulations, accreditation, workload planning and timetables.
