Our team of 200+ Wagoners is growing, spread globally across 45 campuses!Your MissionReporting to the CFO, the scope of Head of Accounting includes management of our General Accountant and Credit Manager. You will also work closely with our FP&A manager.You will contribute to our mission by managing and controlling the accounting of the group including the group holding and 15 subsidiaries.You will provide strategic financial insights, all while ensuring compliance with the related country standards and regulations.Your Mission is in 4 areas :Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precision and care.
- Coordinate with CPA’s for externalized accounting.
- Drive internal team’s tasks and anticipate potential delays.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with each country rules & other regulatory requirements.
- Have a continuous communication with FP&A to unsure the level of information shared
Accounting Operations:
- Oversee the accounts payables, accounts receivables, and accounting team functions with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ensure that the significant cut-off are done & justified
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support our growing organization.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and support the growth of our general accountant and credit manager.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and empowered.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for your team.
Internal Controls and Process Improvement:
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard our company’s assets and reputation.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment and compliance with internal policies and regulations, including tax regulations, social security contributions, and other statutory requirements.
- Identify and lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting operations.
- Stay current with industry best practices and technology trends to continuously improve our processes.
This is the role for you if:
- You live in Paris and enjoy being onsite with your team and collaborators.
- You have a strong background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or French equivalent certification (e.g., Diplôme d’Expertise Comptable) is a plus.
- You have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles. Experience with French accounting practices and compliance is essential.
- You have proficiency in accounting software (knowledge of Odoo is a plus)
- You have excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- You are a strong leader with team management and interpersonal skills.
- You are detail oriented and enjoy working on international teams, speaking both French and English regularly.
