The Role: Head of Commercial Enablement
The Head of Commercial Enablement at S&P DJI Commercial is responsible for strategically transforming and optimizing commercial processes to drive operational excellence and accountability. This pivotal role will establish a robust framework for enhancing sales outcomes, operational efficiency, and talent development across the S&P DJI Commercial team. This role will lead high-impact initiatives that standardize processes, eliminate bureaucracy, leverage AI for automation, codify and implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with our strategic growth objectives.
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

Team Leadership: Lead a diverse group of teams united by a shared purpose to drive operational excellence.

Strategic Transformation of Processes: Lead the comprehensive overhaul and standardization of commercial processes tailored for S&P DJI Commercial, establishing best practices that drive efficiency and accountability while eliminating bureaucratic hurdles and ensuring organizational agility.

Operational Excellence: Empower and lead the Process Improvement team to spearhead initiatives that significantly enhance operational workflows and infrastructure, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and effectiveness within the organization.

AI and Automation Integration: Identify and champion opportunities to leverage AI and automation technologies to streamline operations, reduce manual processes, and elevate overall productivity across commercial functions.

Risk Controls and Governance: Develop, implement, and oversee robust risk controls and governance frameworks that ensure compliance and accountability across all commercial activities, proactively mitigating potential risks associated with operations.

Talent Development and Succession Planning: Enable and effectively lead the team driving the development and implementation of strategic talent management initiatives to ensure a robust internal sales pipeline for key leadership roles, fostering a high-performance culture within S&P DJI Commercial.

Oversight of Pricing Governance Team: Oversee and strategically guide the pricing governance team to ensure effective pricing strategies and compliance with established frameworks, enhancing profitability and market competitiveness.

Management of Client Experience Team: Lead and mentor the client experience team responsible for fielding 35,000 client queries per year, ensuring exceptional levels of customer satisfaction and responsiveness while implementing data-driven improvements based on client feedback.

Cross-Functional Governance and Accountability: Establish governance frameworks that ensure accountability and alignment across all commercial functions, promoting a culture of transparency and performance measurement.

Enterprise Mindset and Cross-Divisional Coordination: Foster an enterprise mindset by coordinating cross-divisionally with other parts of S&P Global, ensuring alignment of commercial strategies and leveraging synergies to drive overall organizational success.

Change Management Leadership: Drive large-scale change initiatives that effectively implement commercial improvements, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum adoption across the organization.

Influential Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders within S&P DJI Commercial, influencing organizational direction and securing buy-in for transformative initiatives.

Salesforce Optimization for Large Scale Operations: Empower and guide Salesforce UX team responsible to design and implement a comprehensive Salesforce strategy that improves sales velocity and operational efficiency while supporting data-driven decision-making tailored to the organization’s needs.

Successful in securing necessary investments for solutions that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Successful Track Record in Executing Solutions and Investments: History of effectively leading the implementation of approved solutions and investments, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable outcomes. Skilled in continuously monitoring progress and adapting strategies to meet evolving needs and achieve targeted results.
Basic Required Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred.

Experience: 12 years of experience preferred in commercial operations, sales management, or related roles within large-scale B2B environments, with a focus on strategic leadership.

Proven Leadership in Operational Improvement: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving operational improvements in organizations with substantial revenue.

Data-Driven Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to utilize data for informed decision-making and performance measurement.

Salesforce Expertise: 5 years of experience preferred with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, with a focus on optimizing user experience for large teams.

Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $245,000 to $280,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as a semi-annual incentive bonus plan.
