Flamingo Group International is truly unique: supplying Europe with the freshest crops – grown on owned farms in Kenya & Ethiopia and prepared into high-quality products in packhouses supplied direct to retailers and consumers across Europe.From humble origins in early the 1980s as a strawberry farm in Kenya, they have grown to be the largest supplier in the UK, the second largest supplier in Continental Europe, and the world’s largest grower of fresh cut roses, as well as being many major supermarkets’ category partner of choice.Investigo are excited to be working as an exclusive partner to Flamingo UK as they begin the process of hiring a Head of Business Partnering and FP&A.This is a highly visible role and a key part of the finance management team, working alongside the UK Finance Director, UK Financial Controller and with regular interactions with the Group CFO.You will support the FD and the rest of the UK Flowers and Produce Executive Team through growth and transformation, taking the business on the journey to become the UK’s number one flowers and produce supply partner into the UK supermarkets and home delivery retailers.You will be responsible for all financial planning, performance reporting as well as leading business partnering, which will include supporting on contract tenders, new business development, investment cases and driving a culture of performance improvement. This role will also work closely with our Kenya farm operations and be required to grow end-to-end opportunities across our business verticals.You will be expected to bring an innovative approach to the wider finance team, looking to continually improve internal processes and continue to enhance the reputation and cohesiveness of the finance teams across the sites.You will act as a finance champion in the fostering of an integrated, collaborative data-led culture within the organisation as a whole.Principal Areas of Responsibility

• Role is the deputy to the Finance Director, and will provide cover as needed.
• Leading the FP&A function of the Flamingo UK, across Flowers and Produce business units. Financial planning includes the setting of long-term financial plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Reporting includes providing all weekly and monthly performance reporting, including preparing for the monthly business review with senior leadership team.
• Strengthening quality and rigour of reporting on P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Lead the business partnering team across Flowers and Produce business units, partnering with the commercial, procurement and operational teams, supporting with decision-making and driving performance improvement.
• Leading on provision of financial support for annual customer contract tenders and new business development, building robust financial models and challenging assumptions to optimise bid success and profitability.
• Leading on development of business cases where we are investing in growth or efficiency, as part of our transformation program.
• Leading on the implementation and ongoing use of our end-to-end product profitability insight tools, embedding into decision-making and driving better end-to-end decisions.
• Driving a greater focus on cash management, coaching the wider business and embedding tools and controls to optimise cash.
• There will be opportunities to lead transformational projects, which require end-to-end and cross-functional approaches.
• Promote Finance as a key Business Partner, which is embedded across the business and trusted to provide challenge, support and critical thinking to stakeholders.
• Help to drive continuous improvement across the finance function, simplifying core processes and improving how we measure performance.
• Working with the Systems Accountant to champion on-going systems development and implementation.
• Enhance data integrity and reporting controls to enable faster scenario reporting and analysis.

• Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications

• Strong academic background, with university degree and at least 5 years post-qualified experience (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Broad experience across FP&A, Business Partnering and Financial Control.
• Worked in Retail and/or FMCG sector, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with experience of partnering both commercial and operational teams.
• Led sizeable teams of people, with coaching approach to leadership.
• Able to demonstrate leading and delivering significant change in finance processes.
• Confident communicator and effective influencer.
• Able to manage priorities across multiple stakeholders.
• Self-starter and proactive attitude.
