Your mission in the team:As Head of Marketing for our French business, you will play a pivotal role in driving Allianz Direct’s growth and achieving our ambition to become the #1 digital insurer in Europe. Leading the French marketing team, you will be a key member of the local leadership team and collaborate closely with our international colleagues in Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands.In a post-M&A context, following the acquisition of Luko and Fri:day, you will spearhead an ambitious growth agenda supported by strategic investments in branding, acquisition, and commercial partnerships. You’ll also have the opportunity to strengthen and expand your team while fostering a culture of growth, efficiency, and customer loyaltyYour Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Growth Strategy: Plan and implement the growth strategy for Allianz Direct in France, leveraging all acquisition channels (SEA, SEO, Affiliates, Aggregators, Partnerships, ECRM, etc.). Continuously optimize the marketing mix and conversion funnel to reduce acquisition costs and drive customer acquisition.
  • Brand Ownership: Lead the brand strategy for the French market in collaboration with the international Brand Tribe and Communications team.
  • Customer Loyalty: Enhance customer loyalty through innovative and effective use of email, SMS, and outbound phone campaigns.
  • Performance & Reporting Framework: Design and maintain a robust reporting framework to track marketing performance, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide clear insights to local finance teams and international stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop the local marketing team (currently 6 team members). Drive performance, provide coaching, and create an environment where your team can excel.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Play an active role in the local leadership team, collaborate with senior leaders across Europe, and align with Allianz HQ to drive company-wide strategies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data, analytics, and market research to inform and optimize strategic business decisions.

What do we recommend to be successful?

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing, ideally in insurance, or alternatively in banking, telecom, or utilities sectors.
  • 3+ years in a marketing leadership role, managing annual budgets exceeding €3M.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven team management experience (leading teams of 5+), with the ability to foster a supportive and high-performance culture.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, capable of managing complex relationships with marketing partners and agencies.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in French and English (English is the primary internal working language).
  • A proactive mindset, with a focus on solutions over problems.
  • M&A experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
