Wifinity and the role purposeWifinity has successfully rolled out Wi-Fi and broadband solutions to circa 150 UK Ministry of Defence sites (Navy, Army and RAF). This is via a variety of business models – Pay As You Go provision for on-site service personnel for their recreational Wi-Fi needs; B2B provision to other MOD suppliers to site and other provision to shared areas, eSports lounges etc. The MOD Account was where Wifinity started and we have invested heavily in upgrading Wi-Fi infrastructure to enable personnel to experience high speed services for messaging, watching, gaming and education. We have achieved this through both direct investment and a series of mergers and acquisitions. We remain ambitious and this next stage of growth will see us invest in new products and services in both connectivity and other vertical markets that are core to Military Personnel. Additionally, to invest further in the remaining opportunities on sites, family housing, educational sites and new markets.To continue our growth in this important sector, this role will require exceptional knowledge and relationships at both the central Ministry of Defence via Defence Digital and the parts of the command looking at welfare and improving the lived experience for service personnel. But it also needs local knowledge of the leaders of each site and the way that our service is commissioned and used. We need careful access to sensitive sites to supply, fit and maintain our network. Our significant investments need understanding, trust and an innate knowledge of how the military works and what is valued. Utilising your exceptional relationships, you will understand how to communicate from Senior Officers, Garrison and Station Commanders Star level to site Quartermasters to questioning new ranks on how they find our service.This will be achieved through a high level of visibility and relationship management skills on-site (with travel and interaction being a key part of the role).We remain the recommended supplier under the Single Living Agreement Framework and a proud supporter of our Military via the Armed Forces Covenant.We are a fast paced ambitious and entrepreneurial company backed by our private equity partner, Lloyds Development Capital.Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve Commercial results by :

  • Manage ongoing new sales and upgrade opportunities under our Single Living Accommodation framework agreement.
  • Champion the roll out of our initiative to improve the service and standard of service for SFA (Service Family Accommodation).
  • Manage and maintain local knowledge of sites and our service so that you can guide our overall quality, repairs, customer satisfaction.
  • Lead our overall Relationship Management approach with the MoD both face to face and remotely. Build a small team and approach.
  • Build strong relationships internally in Wifinity to assist delivery of our marketing programs, service delivery and network management teams.
  • Share a strong strategic view of how we want to develop and grow our business with the MoD whilst ensuring we deliver the now.
  • Work with our Military Advisors to ensure a smooth on-boarding and transition and to help solve for more complex opportunities.
  • Act internally as the voice of the MOD customer.
  • Liaise closely with Wifinity colleagues to optimise our B2B activity with other MOD suppliers e.g. catering suppliers.

Key RequirementsYou will be a decisive leader with the ability to help set strategic direction, translating strategies into actionable plans and deliver against challenging objectives across complex environments. You value strong personnel relationships. You are excellent at working with people and strive to provide a customer driven approach. We are looking for someone that has demonstrated:

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and meeting customer time constraints
  • Customer focus and be prepared to be front and central with customers both face to face and virtually
  • Demonstrated technical problem solving proficiency
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with end-users/customers
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work with little supervision and complete projects

Your experience…

  • Proven experience in demonstrating the ability to lead virtual teams to develop and deliver proposals.
  • Experienced in a Sales or Relationship Management environment that has utilised Salesforce (or similar)
  • Proven experience in demonstrating commercial business success
  • Experience working with variety of Indirect or Enterprise customers, alongside product knowledge including WAN/LAN (Cisco) experience
  • Substantial knowledge of the Ministry of Defence with proven experience of winning or delivering or managing a substantial supplier relationship.
  • Implementation – an ego less pragmatic mindset that is focussed on achieving the results for customer and Wifinity alike.

It would be nice to also have…

  • TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Understanding and knowledge of network vendors
  • Software, telecommunications and IP Telephony
  • Knowledge of or experience with other MOD suppliers on-site (e.g. caterers or environment suppliers)

QualificationsEssential

  • Driving License
  • SC clearance (or ability to rapidly get)

Desirable

  • Degree or demonstrable learning ability
