The RoleThis is a new role and therefore a rare opportunity to shape the software product management function for OASIS. You will be responsible for all aspects of product management for our client facing solutions including product planning and delivery as well as working with the marketing team to create the go to market strategy.You will develop a vision and roadmap for the product based on input from internal stakeholders, clients, market research and their own industry insight with the key objective to improve client satisfaction, differentiating propositions and value creation. This includes researching the market to ensure we keep a competitive edge and will make clever use of technology to minimise complexity, optimise time to value and deliver value iteratively.You will identify the key benefits and value of products which will be used to create and maintain marketing plans and collateral (including web updates, product training materials, industry papers, case studies and sales training).You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance and Technology teams to support the delivery of products that align to the product vision, meet market needs and are delivered to a consistently high-quality standard.In this role you will split your time between creating the product management discipline within OASIS and hands-on product management.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, proven product management experience and demonstrate a strong ability to deliver consistent ROI and drive to deliver results. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and managing stakeholder buy in and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy

  • Translate business strategy into product strategy.
  • Define and own the product roadmap.
  • Manage products throughout their lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  • Create and present the business case for investments.
  • Product pricing strategies and tiering dependant on size of opportunity.
  • Manage product profitability and commercial success – own the product return on investment (ROI).

Product Design & Development

  • Commission market and competitor research.
  • Collate feedback from sales and clients.
  • Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases.
  • Monitor, report and improve product performance.
  • Write product requirements and market requirements documents.

Go to market

  • Develop core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Agree a product marketing plan and budget and then deliver against it.
  • Drive action throughout the organization to get products to market.
  • Set pricing.
  • Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters and other mechanisms.
  • Develop and deliver training to technical sales support.
  • Develop a seamless product integration and PMO strategy to support the commercial deal close process.
  • Perform product demos to clients.

Communication & Support

  • Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements and issues.
  • Evangelise the product internally and externally.
  • Represent the voice of the client in senior level management meetings.
  • Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
  • Develop relationships with key clients.
  • Deliver a regular (e.g. monthly) volume, revenue and profit forecasts.

Candidate RequirementsClient and business focused

  • You are able to forge positive relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • You can explain and simplify business requirements and client journeys to colleagues with different skills.
  • You distil complex problems and find simple solutions to drive value creation.

Product Management

  • You have experience in developing products through insights from data and market research, defining key features, managing investment levels as well as product marketing, releases and launches.
  • You can create a compelling vision and take it all the way through technical implementation. You know how to set team standards, ways of working and tooling.
  • You are fluent in product management approaches, frameworks and actively participate in industry and the product community.

Agile and Continuous Delivery

  • You are proficient in developing product backlogs, working with engineering teams, achieving smooth planning, estimation and continuous delivery.
  • You are an effective leader able to empower teams and a creative problem solver to remove impediments and prioritise effectively.

Digital, marketing and servicing

  • You have strong personal experience in creating and launching and evolving client facing products, with a key focus on usability.
  • You are fluent in various aspects of digital including marketing, content management, usability, omni-channel communications and digital support and servicing.
  • You are naturally inquisitive and have previous experience of utilising disruptive technologies to achieve client outcomes through intelligent questioning and fully documented SOW’s which the project and teams on both sides are managed to.

Innovation

  • You are naturally curious and always looking for ways to improve. You are keen to learn and enjoy scanning the market for trends, new approaches and technologies.
  • You can predict and advise on future digital trends that present opportunities for a product or service.
  • Product Management Leadership experience.
