Elavon is wholly owned by US Bancorp, the fifth largest financial holding in the United States of America.We are now looking to recruit a Head of UK SMB Sales to focus on growing our direct sales within the UK Market.About the team and this roleThe UK SMB team is responsible for growing direct sales and strategic partnerships. Currently our sales teams generate business through self-generated sales, data driven leads and referral partnerships, such as financial institutions, associations, and business to business partnerships.Elavon is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of UK SMB Sales to lead our sales teams. Key to success will be increasing lead generation and conversion rates within the small to medium business (SMB) sector. The ideal candidate will drive strategic initiatives, manage high-performing sales teams, and foster strong relationships with clients to achieve revenue targets.Fitness & ProbityThis role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011.Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the UK SMB market, ensuring alignment with company goals of revenue and customer growth whilst considering market trends.
- Lead Generation: Innovate and optimise lead generation processes and channels to increase the volume and quality of leads. Utilising marketing, events networking, data drive lead generation and partnerships.
- Sales Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring systematic tracking of leads and opportunities. Implement best practices in sales management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor sales performance metrics and conduct regular analysis to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Go to Market, Sales Enablement, Finance, Product and Customer Account Management teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Additionally, be the voice of the customer in proposition development and align our sales efforts with broader business objectives.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience required:
- Proven experience in sales leadership, preferably within the financial services or payments industry, with a focus on SMBs.
- Strong understanding of sales management processes and methodologies, including CRM tools and sales analytics.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive lead generation and conversion.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain an effective network of contacts and build relationships at all levels, internally and externally
- Broad commercial and financial acumen with track record in negotiating.
- Strong presentation skills with experience speaking at events an advantage
