- Manage a UX Team made up of designers and researchers, including hiring, professional development, performance reviews, oversight, etc.
- Drive strategy for key projects through research, analysis, and recommendations and guide your team to do the same
- Drive your team to define, influence, and drive the user experience vision for projects through design and development
- Be ultimately accountable for all UX output from your team. Review and provide feedback for artifacts generated by your team
- Share design expertise and knowledge with others to improve organisational capability
- Work with developers to ensure our end products are in-line with the visions established by Creative Services
- Be responsible for delivering consistent experience across Tesco through collaboration with the single design language
- Building trusted relationships with stakeholders based on agreed outcomes and credible roadmaps to release value incrementally.
- Collaborating with your Director to understand the future demand and direction, provide advice on team-related issues and overall portfolio of products required to deliver against business strategy.
You will need:
- Considerable experience as an interaction designer, design technologist, front-end designer, UI designer, or similar role
- Expert-level knowledge in the fields of UX design, UX research and visual design
- Experience working with product and technology teams to deliver complex programmes
- Experience of helping develop and deliver experience in digital channels
- Experience conducting user/stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, and user testing sessions, then creating recommendations that drive design strategy accordingly.
- Strong experience with data-driven design and usage data analysis.
- Ability to create in-browser prototypes and POCs using modern front-end libraries
- Knowledge of relevant front-end processes, standards and libraries
- Portfolio with examples of relevant work
- Experience managing and leading high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams
