Job description
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting Class 2 drivers for a range of clients across Midlothian and East Lothian.About the Role:We offer a variety of driving positions, including:
- Shunting, deliveries, and collections
- A mix of long-distance and local routes, which may involve multi-drop or site-to-site deliveries
- Deliveries to both commercial and residential properties
- Some manual handling at delivery points, so a level of comfort with lifting is required
Industries We Work With:Our clients operate across a range of sectors, including:
- Plumbing supplies
- Timber merchants
- Commercial goods
- Waste management (skips/bins)
- Cash & Carry services
- Pallet networks
Requirements:Candidates must have the following:
- A valid Category C license
- A CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous commercial driving experience
- No more than 9 points on their license (note: DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements are not accepted due to insurance requirements)
What We Offer:Successful Class 2 drivers can expect:
- Weekly pay
- Holiday accrual with each shift
- A guaranteed minimum of 8 hours pay per day

Pay Rates (PAYE with holidays accrued):
- Starting from £13.50 per hour, up to £17.99 per hour, depending on client, shift, and start time.
