Job description
Subject: Experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver – Seasonal OpportunityDriver Hire Colchester is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB driver for seasonal work. Candidates must hold a valid ALLMI HIAB qualification.Position Details:
- Contract: Fixed 6-month contract (approximately March to September)
- Availability: Must be willing to work week days and alternate weekends
- Pay: Rates vary from £16.50 to £26.00 per hour (higher for weekend work)
- Hours: Minimum of 8 hours pay per day, over time paid after 8hrs
- Payment Terms: Paid on PAYE, weekly bases (no umbrella pay)
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out home deliveries
- Safely load and unload using a loader crane, strictly adhering to company policy and the highway code
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures during deliveries
Requirements:
- Licence: Full, valid Category C (Class 2) licence with an in-date CPC and digi card, with no more than 3 points, and no DR, DD, or IN convictions
- Qualification: Must hold a valid ALLMI HIAB ticket
- Experience: Proven experience operating a loader crane in a similar role
- Transport: Own transport is required due to early start times and varying client locations
- Must have strong communication skills
