Start Date: SeptemberHourly Pay: £12.82 – £15.72Contract: Full-timeLocation: SouthamptonGSL Education is hiring Higher Level Teaching Assistants for mainstream Primary Schools based in Southampton. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will be working within the class to support the class teachers with their lessons, you will be working alongside a team of support staff in the class. Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential.As the HLTA, you will be expected to:

• Have excellent team spirit and good behaviour management skills

• Be passionate about teaching and have a strong command of the curriculum

• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years

• Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education

What We’re Looking For:

• A genuine interest in working with students who have a variety of additional needs.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Good standard of numeracy and literacy.

• Ability to work flexibly and independently.

• Calm under pressure.

• Experience in the classroom would be an advantage.
