We’re seeking a proactive Hire Desk Controller to be the backbone of our operations, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional service.Position Overview:As a Hire Desk Controller you will oversee the hiring of equipment to ensure seamless operations, customer satisfaction, and the optimisation of our hire fleet. Reporting directly to the Hire Desk Manager, you’ll manage all aspects of the hire process – from liaising with customers to coordinating equipment delivery and ensuring compliance with company policies. attention to detail is a must.Key responsibilities, this will include, but is unlikely to be limited to:

• Creating rental agreements and supporting documentation
• Uploading of hire and sales documents to SharePoint
• Ensure all on/off hire orders are taken in detail and processed correctly. – input into IT hire system
• Dealing with queries
• Follow company policies and procedures relating to hire desk processes
• Ensure relevant spreadsheets and SharePoint are updated daily/weekly and any concerns are brought to the attention of Hire Desk Manager
• Answer incoming calls and deal with enquires efficiently in a timely manner
• Liaise with fleet department regarding availability and progress of existing orders
• Secure driver training bookings
• Ensuring customer insurance policies are valid for the duration of hire

The successful Hire Desk Controller will hold:

• Experience in a similar hire or rental operations role is highly desirable.
• Confident with IT packages, including Sharepoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Good communications skills, written and verbal
• Excellent Organisation skills and an ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Great team player who can also work well on their own
