Job description

• Supervising classes when teachers are absent.
• Ensuring students remain engaged and follow the set lesson plan.
• Managing classroom behavior and maintaining discipline.
• Assisting students with their learning when necessary.
• Reporting any issues or incidents to senior staff.
• Supporting the school with other duties, such as exam invigilation and administrative tasks.

Skills & Qualities Required:

• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence and assertiveness.
• Adaptability and resilience.
• A good understanding of school policies and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• No formal teaching qualification is required, but experience working with young people (e.g., in education, youth work, or tutoring) is beneficial.
• A degree or relevant qualifications (such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA status) can be advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is typically required.

Expected salary

£190 per day
