Reference: JobCart.caCompany Overview:Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and certified Millwright to join our client’s maintenance team. As a Millwright, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment by conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication equipment, robotics, and welding techniques.Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Electricians and other team members to perform maintenance and repairs on machinery.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on various equipment, including presses, conveyors, pumps, and gears.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Fabricate replacement parts using welding techniques such as MIG and Stick welding.
- Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to breakdown calls and provide efficient troubleshooting and repair solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and spare parts inventory.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school diploma preferred.
- Proven experience as a Millwright or similar role in an industrial setting.
- Has 433A Certification of Millwright.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in working with hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication equipment, and robotics.
- Experience with MIG and Stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
